Foreclosure Revisited

Not to say, "You heard it here first", but......you heard it here first. This past Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 I made a point of warning you about foreclosures, and the fact that times like these bring unscrupulous types out from under every rock ("Don't Lose Your Home To Foreclosure").

Well, in this morning's Sunday Tampa Tribune, on the front page of the business section is an article warning people to be cautious of those seeking payment to "assist" homeowners in preventing foreclosure. Click here to read the Tampa Tribune's article on this topic.

The best way to avoid foreclosure is to make full, timely payments. Obviously this is becoming more difficult to an increasing number of people though. My advice...if you believe you are going to begin having trouble staying current on your payments, talk to your lender early. Ask them for options. Banks do not want to take your home back, especially in this market. Again, if selling your home becomes the best solution for you, ask me questions about how we can work together to get you out of a bad situation.
